Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 28 and Color Challenge 5

It's a new week and another challenge over are Paper Craft Crew.

This weeks sketch and colour combo are found below.

I wasn't exactly sure what to do at first but I thought why not stick with something valentiney since purple is in the colour scheme and I really wanted to FINALLY use my Gnomenclature and Gnome Sweet Snome stamp sets.  Ever since I moved into my new house I have this thing for gnomes and can't wait until we do the landscaping so that I can have my very own army of gnomes throughout my flower beds.  But for now I will have to stick to the card.

I stayed more or less true to the sketch this week but had fun with the colours.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Stampin Up! Whisper White and Perfect Plum.
Inks: Stampin Up! Classic Ink in Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Stamps: Gnomenclature and Gnome Sweet Gnome
Dies and Embossing Folders: Cuttlebug Argyle Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 18, Stampin Up! Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, Corner Rounder.
Misc: Stampin Up! Crystal Effects and Dimensional Foam Adhesive.

Hope you enjoy my card and it brings you some inspiration and as always please don't forget to vote!

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #27

It's been a long week of traveling for business, but first thing I did when I got back was take some time to unwind and make a card for Paper Craft Crew.

The sketch for the week looked like this.

I was excited about this sketch and knew exactly what I wanted to do but I ended up rotating the sketch 90 degrees and ended up with this. (I made two cards one masculine for my hubby and one a little more girly for my sister)

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Stampin Up Whisper White, Basic Gray and Silver Glimmer Paper.
Stamps: You're My Type, Hearts a Flutter and En Francais
Dies & Punches: Heart A Flutter Framelits, Owl Punch, Corner Rounder, Honeycomb Embossing Folder
Inks: Stampin  Up! Melon Mambo, Real Red and Basic Gray and Versamark

Paper Crafting Crew Challenge #26

This is my third week participating in the Paper Craft Crew Challenge and this week the sketch was

PCCCS026-Sketch

and the colour combination was

Color-Challenges-004

The card I made was intended for a boys first birthday so I kept the Regal Rose to a minimum and went more with the Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue Combo.  I opted out of the small sentiment and put a large birthday greeting and accessorized with the cupcake punch.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock: Stampin Up Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight Regular and DSP and Whisper White
Stamps: Netting Background and Dot Dot Dot
Ink: Versamark with Stampin Up Clear & Black Embossing Powders & Daffodil Delight Classic Ink
Other Fun Stuff: Cupcake Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Snail Adhesive and Dimensionals

Hope you enjoy my card this week and don't forget to click on the link and vote.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #25

So this is my second week getting in on the action at Paper Craft Crew.

Before I get into the details for my card today I would like to announce that I have some BLOG CANDY!!! I will announce exactly what I am giving away tomorrow but it is sure to be a hit! Hint: Think Stampin Up! Sale-A-Bration Time!!!

So if you would like to be eligible follow my blog and tell all your friends because once I hit 25 followers I will draw a random name and send your treat to you in the mail.

Now on to the task at hand:

I am having fun making cards for these challenges as it actually gets me into my craft room to make something when I don't necessarily have anything specific I need.

Here is the Sketch and Colour Combination for this week.

I'm actually super excited about how my card turned out and will probably make more to have on hand for birthdays. I know everyone usually has a tough time with masculine cards so I may make more just minus the pink. I think the Basic Gray and Olive Green are still great together as a pair.

My card base is Basic Gray cardstock cut at 4.25" x11" folded in half.
The background is Olive Green DSP cut at 4" x 5.25".
The strip on the left is Basic Gray cut at 1" x 5.25 and the pattern was stamped in Versamark Ink using the Border Banter stamp set and the Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, then layered onto a strip of Melon Mambo cut at 1.5" x 5.25".
The 3 small squares are Whisper White (3) and Basic Gray (1) cut at 15/16" x 15/16" with the small cupcake from the Carry On stamp set, stamped in Versamark and Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The wrapper was colored using a Melon Mambo Marker and Dazzling Details added to the frosting.  These were then attached to four scalloped squares cut from a Cuttlebug Die I have in my stash.
Finally I added a Gray ribbon and bow from my stash and colored 3 Stampin Up Pearls using my Melon Mambo Marker.

P.S if you like my creations please click on the link above and vote for my card.
