Paper Crafting Crew Challenge #26

This is my third week participating in the Paper Craft Crew Challenge and this week the sketch was

PCCCS026-Sketch

and the colour combination was

Color-Challenges-004

The card I made was intended for a boys first birthday so I kept the Regal Rose to a minimum and went more with the Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue Combo.  I opted out of the small sentiment and put a large birthday greeting and accessorized with the cupcake punch.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock: Stampin Up Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight Regular and DSP and Whisper White
Stamps: Netting Background and Dot Dot Dot
Ink: Versamark with Stampin Up Clear & Black Embossing Powders & Daffodil Delight Classic Ink
Other Fun Stuff: Cupcake Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Snail Adhesive and Dimensionals

Hope you enjoy my card this week and don't forget to click on the link and vote.
Voting on submissions starts on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:59 PM EST. Voting ends on Friday, February 1st at 10 AM EST.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #25

So this is my second week getting in on the action at Paper Craft Crew.

Before I get into the details for my card today I would like to announce that I have some BLOG CANDY!!! I will announce exactly what I am giving away tomorrow but it is sure to be a hit! Hint: Think Stampin Up! Sale-A-Bration Time!!!

So if you would like to be eligible follow my blog and tell all your friends because once I hit 25 followers I will draw a random name and send your treat to you in the mail.

Now on to the task at hand:

I am having fun making cards for these challenges as it actually gets me into my craft room to make something when I don't necessarily have anything specific I need.

Here is the Sketch and Colour Combination for this week.

I'm actually super excited about how my card turned out and will probably make more to have on hand for birthdays. I know everyone usually has a tough time with masculine cards so I may make more just minus the pink. I think the Basic Gray and Olive Green are still great together as a pair.

My card base is Basic Gray cardstock cut at 4.25" x11" folded in half.
The background is Olive Green DSP cut at 4" x 5.25".
The strip on the left is Basic Gray cut at 1" x 5.25 and the pattern was stamped in Versamark Ink using the Border Banter stamp set and the Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, then layered onto a strip of Melon Mambo cut at 1.5" x 5.25".
The 3 small squares are Whisper White (3) and Basic Gray (1) cut at 15/16" x 15/16" with the small cupcake from the Carry On stamp set, stamped in Versamark and Heat Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. The wrapper was colored using a Melon Mambo Marker and Dazzling Details added to the frosting.  These were then attached to four scalloped squares cut from a Cuttlebug Die I have in my stash.
Finally I added a Gray ribbon and bow from my stash and colored 3 Stampin Up Pearls using my Melon Mambo Marker.

P.S if you like my creations please click on the link above and vote for my card.

Baby Shower

So as promised here is the card and a couple tags I made for a Baby Shower I'm going to be attending.

Onesie cut is stock photo from the Cricut Imagine cut at 6.2".
I cut two of them and scored the bottom layer at 1" from the top and glued that section to the top layer.
Onesie layer was cut at 6"
The Baby Banner was cut using the SU! Pennant Parade Punch and stamp set.
The letters were from Recollections
Twine is SU! in Wisteria Wonder
Baby Bottle and Rubber Duck cut from Cricut Sugar and Spice Lite Cartridge at 1 3/4"
All Pink paper is Bazzill Basics and all else from Recollections.
Buttons and Safety Pin from my stash.

The envelope I cut down a larger one I had since I made the card larger than the usual A2 size so I put a stipe of Bazzill Basicz paper and cut a 2"circle using my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter.
The stamp is from SU! Easy Events and coloured using a SU! Blender Pen and Classic Ink in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.

The small tag was cut at 3 1/2" from Cricut Sugar and Spice Lite Cartridge
I used Bazzill Basicz paper in pink and Black/ White from Recollections.
Pearls are from SU!

This Rattle Tag is cut at 7" from the Cricut Sugar and Spice Lite Cartridge
(This tag had to be BIG since it's for a Crib Mattress)
All Pink paper is Bazzill Basics and all others Recollections
I used a white gel pen to accent the rattle
SU! Dazzling Details were used on the scallops and SU! Pearl was used for the eye.

I had so much fun making these as it's been a while since I scrapped but hopefuly I can find some time each week to just unwind.

Hopefully you like it so leave a comment below.

Finally something to post.

So I've always wanted to have a blog and run with it but man oh man is it ever hard to find time.

But since with Labour day here and even though it isn't technically but it feels like the end of summer I'm going to recommit and have fun with this.

So here are a few projects I did in the last month.

1.  I made a Masculine birthday Card for my mom's boyfriend.

2.  I made this card for my cousin who has a birthday in the summer so I wanted it to be fun and bright.

3. My cousin and his wife just moved into their new house and their son who is my godson loves two things currently.  Super Mario and Cars.  Well since Cricut diesn't have a Mario Bros. Cartridge I decided to make him some wall art using the Disney Cars Cartridge.  I got some clearance 10x10 frames from Michaels and just layered the images and made a small scene for each.  I think they came out fantastic and when he is bored with it we can just remove and replace with something new.

Now onto making 2 different cards for the Christmas Swap on Scrapper Creations.
